Type of Notice: Pre-Solicitation Notice Title: RFP # 12905B24R0019 – Replacement of four rooftop air handler units Description: The Contractor shall provide a proposal for the Replacement of four rooftop air handler units at USDA ARS Wapato - Temperate Tree Fruit & Vegetable Research, Wapato, WA THIS IS AN INFORMATIONAL NOTICE ONLY The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Pacific West Area Office has a construction requirement for the Replacement of four rooftop air handler units at USDA ARS Wapato - Temperate Tree Fruit & Vegetable Research, Wapato, WA. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation and supervision performing all required work in accordance with the plans and specifications for this requirement. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204 the magnitude of this construction project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 USDA will issue a Firm Fixed Price Construction Contract. The Request for Proposal (RFP), 12905B24R0019, may be issued on or around August 22, 2024. The requirement will be unrestricted for all contractors to propose, under NAICS Code 238220 with a size standard of $19,000,000. Information concerning the REE policies and procedures regarding the definitization of equitable adjustments for change orders under construction contracts and the time required for definitization of those actions per 15 U.S.C. 644 is available at https://www.ars.usda.gov/afm/apd/acquisitions/. Completion timeframe for the resulting contract is to be determined. The RFP will be accessible via https://sam.gov/ in the “Contracting Opportunities” section.
