How much time before construction begins do we need the generators? ANSWER: Generators shall be installed and activated before the power to the main building and the Head house is disconnected. It is listed as Day 1 activities on E-004. 2. Will the generators be provided by the contractor or by the government? ANSWER: Rental generators shall be provided by the contractor. #### The USDA ARS requires that all labor, supervision, tools, and materials be provided for upgrading selected components of the existing electrical system of the site. The project is located at USDA, ARS, Northwest Irrigation & Soils Research Laboratory (NWISRL) at 3793 N 3600 E Kimberly, ID 83341-5076. All work shall be performed in accordance with the terms, conditions, drawings and specifications contained in this document. SITE VISIT: 10:00 AM Mountain Time on Wednesday April 24, 2024. The USDA ARS requires that all labor, supervision, tools, and materials be provided for upgrading selected components of the existing electrical system of the site. The project is located at USDA, ARS, Northwest Irrigation & Soils Research Laboratory (NWISRL) at 3793 N 3600 E Kimberly, ID 83341-5076. The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the requirements described in attached draft Statement of Work. The qualifying NAICS code for this requirement is 237130 – Power and Communication Line and Related Structures Construction. The solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The Government anticipates issuing the solicitation on or around Jan 23, 2024. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated. Potential Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation and any amendments. All offerors shall be registered with the System for Award Management Registration per FAR Clause 52.204-7 and 52.204-8. No paper copies of the solicitation will be mailed, and telephone requests will not be honored. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute the official solicitation. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for offer preparation costs.
