The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Pacific West Area Office has a construction requirement to provide a new reliable fire alarm system located at 800 Buchanan St, Albany, CA 94710. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation, and supervision performing all required work in accordance with the plans and specifications for this requirement. AMENDMENT #3: The purpose of this amendment is to extend the proposal due date to May 12, 2023. AMENDMENT #4: The purpose of this amendment is to notify vendors that the Proposal deadline is now 4pm Pacific Time, Thursday, 18 May 2023. In addition, we received a couple dozens questions from vendors that we are working on answering. Those Q&As will added to this solicitation in a subsequent amendment very shortly. AMENDMENT #5: The purpose of this amendment is to attach question and answers that vendors had on this RFP. See the following pages for the Q&As. It is also being done to notify vendors that the Proposal deadline has changed. It is now due no later than 12pm Pacific Time, Monday, 22 May 2023. THIS IS AN INFORMATIONAL NOTICE ONLY The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Pacific West Area Office has a construction requirement to provide a new reliable fire alarm system located at 800 Buchanan St, Albany, CA 94710. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation, and supervision performing all required work in accordance with the plans and specifications for this requirement. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204 the magnitude of this construction project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. USDA will issue a Firm Fixed Price Construction Contract. The Request for Proposal (RFP), 12905B23R0007 may be issued on or around March 18, 2022. The requirement will be reserved 100% for small businesses under NAICS Code 238210 - Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors with a size standard of 16.5M. Completion timeframe for the resulting contract is to be determined. The RFP will be accessible via https://sam.gov/ in the “Contracting Opportunities” section. Potential Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the RFP package and any amendments. All offerors shall be registered with the System for Award Management Registration per FAR Clause 52.204-7 and 52.204-8. No paper copies of the solicitation will be mailed and telephone requests will not be honored.
