This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the procedures contained in FAR Part 12.6, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 12905B23Q0018 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) Number 2023-01 effective December 30, 2022. This solicitation is issued as a total small business set-aside. The associated NAICS code is 333111 and the small business size standard is 500. List CLINS, item descriptions, quantities and units of measure: CLIN 1: Belt thresher, electric with chevron belt, brand name or equal to an Almaco BT-14 belt thresher Description/Statement of Work/Specification: Please see attached specifications. Can be adapted to the wide range of seed types (small to large, round to flat) that lima beans can have, which prevents seed loss because of cracking or lack of pod shattering; Can be hooked up to our dust catching system to use indoors and not create excess dust from the plant chaff which can be a hazard for seed cleaning; Is electric, which allows us to use it indoors; with a standard North American power plug Has large wheels so we can also use it in the field with a generator for research plots; Is easy to clean, preventing contamination between seed lines; Can thresh single bean plants (lima beans) cleanly; Has a chevron-style belt Must be small enough to move between cleaning areas; Can be operated by one person; Motor size 110 v 60 hz Is safe to operate Date and place of delivery and acceptance Delivery is due no later than May 31, 2023. Place of delivery is the USDA, ARS, PGITR at 410 Dairy Road, Plant Introduction Farm Shop in Pullman, WA 99164. This requirement shall be FOB Destination. All costs for freight, shipping, handling and delivery SHALL be included in your quote.
