It is the intent of this contract is for exterior painting of a main lab, headhouse, adjacent buildings, enclosures, and walkways. The work includes providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, transportation, and supervision in accordance with the Statement of Work and Drawings. This requirement is being prepared in accordance with FAR Part 36, Construction Contracts.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agriculture Research Service (ARS), Pacific West Area intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) to award a firm fixed price construction contract located at U.S. Pacific Basin Agricultural Research Center, 64 Nowelo St. in Hilo Hawaii. It is the intent of this contract is for exterior painting of a main lab, headhouse, adjacent buildings, enclosures, and walkways. The work includes providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, transportation, and supervision in accordance with the Statement of Work and Drawings. This requirement is being prepared in accordance with FAR Part 36, Construction Contracts. This will be solicited as 100% Small Business Set-Aside NAICS Code: 238320, Painting and Wall Covering Contractors Standard Business Size is $16.5M Disclosure of Magnitude - $250,000 and $500,000 The solicitation, including all supporting documents, will be posted to the website SAM.gov (System for Award Management) on or about July 22, 2021. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed or issued. To obtain the solicitation package, download it from SAM.gov.
