This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the procedures contained in FAR Part 12.6, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This acquisition is for the selected contractor to provide replacement LED lighting for the greenhouse east wing and corn house. (A) The solicitation number is RFQ#: 12905B21Q0089 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). (B) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) Number 2021-06. (C) This solicitation is issued as a Total Small Business Set Aside. The associated NAICS code is 335121 the small business size standard is 750 Employees. (D) List CLINS, item descriptions, quantities and units of measure: CLIN 1- Replacement LED Lighting Units per SOW, 210 units each. (E) Description/Statement of Work/Specification: Statement of Work: Plant Gene Expression Center & USDA Greenhouses (The Intended Site of Placement) – Purchase of replacement LED grow lights This statement of work reflects the requirement for the USDA-WRRC’s purchase of 210 LED growth lights. Currently, these lights are not associated with any project or associated labor to install. They intend to be provided as Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) to a selected contractor in a separate, future project.
