This announcement is a total set-aside for Small Business Concerns. The USDA is seeking a qualified Contractor to furnish all tools, equipment, material, permits, labor, and supervision necessary to accomplish, the work as provided in the Contract documents, Plans, and Specifications, summary of which is provided below: The USDA-ARS/PBARC-DKI Tropical Plant Genetic Resource and Disease Research Unit requires a total of four (4) metal buildings be assembled. One building will be located at 928 Stainback Highway in Hilo Hawaii requires the construction of a 24x25’-2” concrete slab foundation and the installation of a 24’ x 25’ government supplied pre-fabricated metal 3-sided structure. The other 3 buildings will be located at 64 Nowelo Street in Hilo, Hawaii and requires the construction of a 24x40’-2” concrete slab foundation and the installation of three (3) 24’ x 40’ government supplied pre-fabricated metal 4-sided structures. Disclosure of Magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000. THIS IS AN INFORMATIONAL NOTICE ONLY The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Pacific West Area Office has a construction requirement for Concrete Foundation and Pre-Fab Steel Building Construction for the USDA-ARS/PBARC-DKI Tropical Plant Genetic Resource and Disease Research Unit 64 Nowelo Street Hilo, HI 96720. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation and supervision performing all required work in accordance with the plans and specifications for this requirement. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204 the magnitude of this construction project is between $250,000 and $500,000. USDA will issue a Firm Fixed Price Construction Contract. The Request for Quote (RFQ), 12905B21Q0041, may be issued on or around July 15, 2021. The requirement will be a Total Small Business Set Aside, under NAICS Code 236210 with a size standard of $39.5m. Completion timeframe for the resulting contract is to be determined. The RFQ will be accessible via https://sam.gov/ in the “Contracting Opportunities” section. Potential Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the RFQ package and any amendments. All offerors shall be registered with the System for Award Management Registration per FAR Clause 52.204-7 and 52.204-8.
