The Medicine Bow-Routt NF has a requirement for 1.6 miles of fence to be supplied and constructed in accordance with the abbreviated Statement of Work below. The Government estimates the rough order of magnitude of this project to be between $25,000 - $100,000. Added - See the note below, but we are working on the funding of this project and are moving forward with the solicitation phase. The pre-bid conference has been scheduled. See note 8 below. "Notice to Offeror(s)/Supplier(s): Funds are not presently available for this effort. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs." Abbreviated Statement of Work: C.1 SCOPE OF CONTRACT The contractor will supply and construct ~ 1.6 miles of four wire fence in California Park. Stream restoration projects are occurring at two locations along First Creek and the fence would be constructed around both sites. The western site would entail 0.9 miles of fence and the eastern site 0.7 miles.. • Wooden fence posts will be installed every 12 feet and would be 4" x 6.5' on straight sections and 6" x 8' on braces. • There will be two wooden stays between posts. • The height of the four wires will be 10" (smooth wire), 18" and 26" (barbed wire), and 38" (black vinyl coated smooth wire). • A removable fenced water gap will be constructed at each of the four crossings on First Creek. • Six additional 20' wire gates with stays would be constructed. • A "antelope underpass" design will be constructed every 10 posts (see page 26-28 in Colorado Parks and Wildlife "Fencing with wildlife in mind" brochure: https://cpw.state.co.us/Documents/LandWater/PrivateLandPrograms/FencingWithWildlifeInMind.pdf C.2 Project Location & Description The project area is located in California Park which is north of Hayden, CO. From Hayden, travel north on Routt County Road 80 for approximately 22 miles to the intersection with National Forest System Road 115. The two fence locations are located approximately one and three miles west of the intersection. There is vehicle access to the portion of both fences south of First Creek and an all-terrain vehicle will be needed to access the fence north of First Creek. Period of performance: Sept 15, 2019 - June 26, 2020. Basic Contracting Requirements: 1. Bonding Requirements: Probably not based upon expected value of project. 8. Pre-Bid Conference: 12 July - meet at the Kum and Go in Hayden (230 W Jefferson Ave, Hayden, CO 81639) at 09:00 - we will depart from there promptly at 09:15 to drive up to the site. Alteranately you can meet us at the junction of CR 80 and Forest Service road 115 - see Attachment 3 - Map. We should be there by 10:00. Please RSVP to the POC. 9. Award Basis: Low Price Technically Acceptable with a check of your past performance and references. To be technically acceptable, you must demonstrate that you have the necessary staff, equipment, supplies and knowledge (experience) to perform this contract.
