The U.S. Government currently occupies office space in Challis, Idaho under a lease that will be expiring. The Government has a continuing need for leased space, approximately 7,000 rentable square feet (RSF) of office space, as well as other office related requirements, and will consider alternative space if economically advantageous. Information received in response to this advertisement will be used to develop a cost-benefit analysis and assist with determining whether to compete the lease requirement. In making this determination the Government will consider, among other things, the availability of alternative space that can satisfy the Government's requirements and the costs likely to be incurred in relocating such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements and telecommunications infrastructure, non-productive downtime and the impact to the agency. Pending a capital lease analysis, the anticipated lease term is 20 years, 15 years firm. Offered space must meet Government requirements for fire safety, accessibility, seismic and sustainability standards per the terms of the lease, and shall not be located within a 100-year floodplain. Anyone with a location they would like the Government to consider must respond to this ad by September 20, 2019.
