The USDA Forest Service is requesting quotes for the Sand Creek Road Cultural Site Evaluation project, involving evaluative testing of 25 previously identified unevaluated cultural sites within a 50-foot right-of-way along approximately 6 miles of Sand Creek Road (McKenzie County Road 2) in McKenzie County on the McKenzie Ranger District of the Dakota Prairie Grasslands. The awarded contract covers Phase One only: shovel testing to determine the presence or absence of buried cultural material. Phase Two, formal testing to determine whether any cultural deposits represent intact components, will be performed later and is not part of this contract. This acquisition is a total small business set-aside under NAICS 541620 with a small business size standard of $19M.
