NAICS code for this acquisition is 238220 (Plumbing, Heating and Air-Conditioning Contractors). The small business size standard is $16.5 million dollars. DECRIPTION OF WORK. The work for this construction project consists of the installation of three (3) new propane-gas furnaces at the USDA Forest Service Canyon Work Center, Condos 1331, 1332, and 1358 on the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest, North Fork Ranger District. Work will consist of removal and disposal of existing equipment, procurement and installation of new equipment and controls, and connection to existing utilities. Each Condo has two levels, the mechanical room for each level contains two furnaces, one for each unit. The site gas is supplied by an external propane tank plumbed into the unit; connections for work to be made should match existing. No new wall penetrations or primary utility service work is needed. Condo 1331 Unit 2A has no furnace installed, install new furnace. Condo 1332 Unit 2B furnace will not ignite, replace with new furnace. Condo 1358 Unit 1A furnace is inoperative, replace with new furnace. All furnaces are to be installed with new thermostats and control devices. Refer to the Specifications attached for details. PROJECT LOCATON. This requirement is located at the Canyon Work Center in the North Fork Ranger District of the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest. The work center is on Forest Service Road 247 approximately 25 miles from Headquarters, Idaho. Refer to the Plans and Map attached for additional information. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT. The estimated price range for the total project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Period of the Contract.
