This is a presoliciation notice only, the soliciation is expected to post on or around 04/22/2021 with additional information for the Trail Maintenance on the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests. Background: The trails requiring maintenance have recently been maintained from 2018 up to 2020 and require continued maintenance for 2021. The trail maintenance work includes logging out, drainage maintenance, and rock removal on non-wilderness and wilderness trails. Description of Requirement: The Forest Service requires 2021 Trail Maintenance for the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests for multiple Ranger Districts for the North Zone (North Fork & Palouse Ranger Districts) and Central Zone (Lochsa & Powell Ranger Districts). Approximately 64.10 miles of trails for the North Zone and 88.20 miles for the Central Zone (Refer to the Item Trail Summary attached for detailed trail information). The work includes logging out, drainage maintenance, and rock removal on non-wilderness and wilderness trails as described in the technical specifications. Slide maintenance and tread repair are required in connection with uprooted trees. Contractors shall be held responsible for all downed trees; there will be NO tree counting. The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, and materials to perform all operations necessary to accomplish the work. Period of Performance: The period of performance is from the effective award date through 08/15/2021. The estimated effective award date is 06/01/2021.
