Revised - USDA Forest Service, Southwest Region 3 has a requirement for Stewardship contract on Black Mesa Ranger District, Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, Overgaard, AZ 85933. This procurement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code 115310 applies to this procurement for which the Small Business size standard is $20.5 Million. This solicitation and any resultant contract is a stewardship project in accordance with Section 323 of Public Law 108-7 (16 U.S.C. 2104 Note, as revised February 28, 2003 to reflect sec. 323 of J.J. Res. 2 as enrolled), the Consolidated Appropriations Resolution, 2003, amending Public Law 105-277, sec. 347. Project Description: (a) The purpose of the Stewardship project is for: Tree thinning, dead standing, and dead down woody debris activities across 1,174 acres. The work consists of (1)Removal of merchantable timber from contract area (2) Removal of timber harvest created slash from contract area (3) Removal of existing dead standing and dead and down woody debris from the contract area (b) Resulting Contract - Any resultant contract will be a commercial services contract with requirements for timber removal. (c) Project Location - Project area is Located Northeast of the communities of Heber and Overgaard. The project is 1,174 acres in size. It is located at Township 13 North, range 14 East, Sections 15, 16, 17, 20, 21, 22, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, and 33; Township 12 North, Range 13 East, Section 1.FSR 210 is on the Southeast side of the contract, and County road 504 is on the Northwest side of the project area.
