Storm Proofing: This project will consist of installing drainage dips, cleaning of pipes to free flow, restore ditch lines, armor pipes with rip rap, etc. Gravel Material is available at FS owned pits... Storm Proofing: This project will consist of installing drainage dips, cleaning of pipes to free flow, restore ditch lines, armor pipes with rip rap, etc. Gravel Material is available at FS owned pits or Privately operated, BLM owned pit (Cedar Knowl). Rip Rap is available off the FSR 462 road. All drainage shall be graded in a way that provides free flowing of water without hinderences. This may include removal of vegitation, earthwork movement, or pipe repairs. Locations of pipes, armoring, dips shall be staked by the forest service prior to work commencing. Contractor is responsible for the stake at commencement. See map of closure are for approximate locations of work. Locations include FSR’s 462, 461, 22, and 423 roads within Big Springs/Jacob Lake area.
