Amendment posted June 17, 2020 includes answers to questions asked during the pre-bid meeting held on June 16, 2020. A revised SOW date June 17, 2020 is also posted. The propsoal due date is extended to July 2, 2020. All proposal material must be submitted via email to Michael.Ku@USDA.GOV. Maximum email size allowed is 100MB. Please do not mail any hard copy proposal materials as they will be discarded. ************************************************************************************************************** DESCRIPTION OF WORK The work shall consist of what is shown on the plans, stated in the specifications, and summarized below: • Order, fabricate, and deliver to the sites all the Prefabricated Steel Trail Bridge materials • Install traffic control signs and close the Maroon Scenic Trail and West Maroon Trail. • Install erosion control measures including any stream-flow diversion system. • Remove the existing bridges abutments as shown in the plans. • Excavate for riprap streambanks and foundation protection. • Install the geocell pads. • Install the grade beams. • Remove the stream-flow diversion system. • Place the bridges. • Place trail surface aggregate on Maroon Scenic Bridge #1 Replacement. • Remove signs and re-open Maroon Scenic and West Maroon Trails. • Final site work and cleanup. PRICE RANGE The Government's estimate is: Between $100,000 and $240,000 PRE-BID MEETING Date: Tuesday, June 16, 2020 Time: 9:00 AM-12:00 PM Location: White River National Forest Maroon Bells Welcome Station, Maroon Creek Road Pitkin County, CO 81611 Meeting Details: *The meeting will be held outdoors. *Please maintain 6 foot social distancing at the meeting. *Cellular phone coverage is not available at the meeting location. We will meet at the welcome station and drive to the west maroon portal link trail parking lot at 9:00 a.m. Forest service representative Bret Conant will conduct a project overview in the parking lot. Next we will visit the two trail bridge replacement project sites and hold Q and A sessions at each site. Meeting ending at 12:00 p.m., depart project area.
