This solicitation and any resultant contract is a stewardship project in accordance with Section 604 (16 USC 6591c) of Public Law 108-148 as amended by Section 8205 of Public Law 113-79, the Agriculture Act of 2014 which grants the Forest Service permanent authority to enter into stewardship contracts or agreements to achieve land management goals for the National Forest or public lands that meet local and rural community needs. Secton 8205 superseded the temporary authority granted to the Forest Service in seciton 347 of Public Law 105-277, the Omnibus Consolidated and Emergency Appropriations Act, 1999. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Pool Creek Integrated Resource Contract (IRSC). The Pool Creek stewardship IRSC covers 1841 gross acres on the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests - Norwood and Ouray Ranger Districts. The project location is approximately 14 air miles northeast of Norwood Colorado on the Uncompahgre Plateau. A site visit is not scheduled for this project. Parties interested in touring the site on their own are encouraged to do so. This announcement constitues the only solicitation that will be issued for this project. Offerors must be registered in System for Award Management (www.sam.gov) to be considered responsive to this solicitation. SAM is a free service. This solicitation is a total small business set aside.
