The solicitation number is 1282FT190002. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The proposed contract is set aside 100% for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541350, size standard is $7.5 million. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract for the Rocky Mountain Research Station (RMRS) Logan Asbestos and Lead -based Paint Survey. This solicitation requires the contractor to conduct asbestos and lead-based paint inspections on the structure (and if necessary the surrounding soils). Additionally, any other potential hazardous material, as defined by the Environmental Protection Agency and/or the State of Utah, shall be identified. The reason for conducting the tests is to ensure all local, state and federal regulations related to hazardous waste are complied with during the upcoming renovation or work of the buildings. This work includes identification of asbestos containing material (ACM), lead based paint (and/or stains) and other hazardous waste, the locations of the materials, estimated quantities and recommendations for abatement of asbestos containing material and other hazardous materials. Experience, qualifications and past performances, when combined, are more important than price in the evaluation of Offers.
