This solicitation and any resultant contract is a stewardship project in accordance with Section 323 of Public Law 108-7 (16 U.S.C. 2104 Note, as revised February 28, 2003 to reflect sec. 323 of J.J. Res. 2 as enrolled), the Consolidated Appropriations Resolution, 2003, amending Public Law 105-277, sec. 347. The contract includes the following components: Ensign Gulch is a performance based, fixed price Integrated Resource Stewardship Contract (IRSC) for the treatment of non-sawtimber, biomass and slash. This includes felling, yarding/skidding, decking of and/or removal, and mastication of the non-sawtimber material. Live sawtimber and non-sawtimber trees cut will be whole tree yarded to the landing, processed, decked or removed, and the slash will be piled at the landings. Dead saw/non-sawtimber trees, along with live and dead biomass material, will be either hand cut and piled in the treatment units or masticated. This project will include requirements for construction of temporary roads and road maintenance. There will be an estimated 585 CCF of non-sawtimber. A site visit will be scheduled.
