The USDA ARS has a requirement for Upgrade the Batch Software on Thermal Tissue Autoclave and Effluent Decontamination System (EDS). Provide IT support and redundancies to the system located at the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF) Campus. This contract shall cover service for a period of 200 days. Background and Purpose The National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF) is seeking Progressive Recovery Inc. (PRI) to upgrade PRI manufactured TTA and EDS Systems. NBAF is designed to contain bio safety level BSL-2 through BSL-4 research studies. Contractors associated with maintenance of the facility should fully understand the construction types and maintenance methods associated with these facilities. The EDS and TTA are in a non-containment portion of the facility, in the main lab. Downtime of the equipment during the service shall be kept to a minimum. The contractor shall install wired temperature thermocouples in biowells of Thermal Tissue Autoclave and Effluent Decontamination System vessels and make the appropriate modifications to ensure that the information from the thermocouples is integrated seamlessly into the proprietary management system to ensure the effective treatment of waste. The contractor is to upgrade the Batch Software on Thermal Tissue Autoclave (TTA) and Effluent Decontamination System (EDS). Contractor shall support our IT personnel so they can back up software on a USDA hard drive and need to provide redundant hard drives. Qualifications The contractor shall provide written documentation showing the specialists performing work under this PWS are individuals that each have at least 5 years of combined training and experience in the validation of liquid decontamination systems and thermal tissue autoclaves. The contractor must be a Progressive Recovery Inc. (PRI) authorized representative.
