Intent to Sole Source PR 1060504 RFQ 12805B22Q0256 Emergency Generators Service Contracts: CAT Generators Notice of Intent to award a sole source purchase order under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The United States Department of Agriculture intends to contract with Wagner Power Systems, on a sole source basis for a Emergency Generators Service Contracts: CAT Generators to support ongoing ARS research projects. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. In doing so, interested sources must submit technical capabilities, pricing, and other information that demonstrates their ability to meet the Governments needs no later than response time provided. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to attached POC. This synopsis is not considered a request for bid/quote/proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests for technical information will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on a basis of offers received in response to this notice, but offers will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the Government.

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. This notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or an obligation or commitment by the Government, nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFQ) at this time. Responses to this Notice must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to conduct market research to determine, in particular, the capability of Small Business firms to provide the supplies/services described below. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary experience to compete for this acquisition. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name; (b) address; (c) point of contact; (d) phone, fax and email; (e ) Unique Entity Identifier (UEI); (f) Cage Code; (g) socioeconomic category (i.e., small business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, etc.); (h) a technical/capability statement as well as your existing customers (i) any GSA Schedule numbers and expiration dates and (j) if you accept credit cards. ARS will accept responses from ALL socioeconomic categories in order to gain a more complete understanding of the market for these supplies. The USDA, ARS, Akron, CO and Fort Collins, CO locations have a need for Emergency Generator Service. The unique requirements of the product are: The contractor shall perform full maintenance work relating to each generator for a total of four (4) major generators from 150 Kw to 300Kw standalone generators. The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agriculture Research Service requires generator service for three (3) buildings, the NLGRP and CRL, located in Fort Collins, Colorado as well as Akron CGPRS, located near Akron, CO. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, transportation, and service necessary (unless otherwise specified herein) to perform the services required in accordance with commercial standards, local, state, and federal laws. This performance work for preventive maintenance are for diesel generators which are controlled by CAT manufacturing. Software controls are owned by CAT. Generac generators can be serviced by CAT. Generators are serial numbered and model is specific to current manufacture specifications. The current generators are specific to maintenance preventive maintenance program. The NAICS Code for the expected acquisition is 811310. Any subsequent procurement will be conducted as a commercial item purchase in accordance with FAR Part 12 and as a Simplified Acquisition Procedure in accordance with FAR Part 13.
