The United States Department of Agriculture intends to contract with Johnson Controls Inc., on a sole source basis for Technical Support and Service for a Building Automation System – Fort Collins CO. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. In doing so, interested sources must submit technical capabilities, pricing, and other information that demonstrates their ability to meet the Governments needs no later than response time provided. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to conduct market research to determine, in particular, the capability of Small Business firms to provide the supplies/services described below. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary experience to compete for this acquisition. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name; (b) address; (c) point of contact; (d) email address; (e ) DUNS Number; (f) Cage Code; (g) socioeconomic category (i.e., small business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, etc.); (h) a technical/capability statement and; (i) any GSA Schedule numbers. ARS will accept responses from ALL socioeconomic categories in order to gain a more complete understanding of the market for these services. The National Center for Genetic Resources Preservation (NCGRP) of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), in Fort Collins, CO has a need for Technical Support and Service for a Building Automation System. The requirement is for Technical Support and Service for a Building Automation System. Base year plus four option years. Vendor shall provide the following for a JCI Metasys Network Building Automation System: -Dedicated service representative for the location -Monthly service calls -Preventative and routine maintenance scheduling -Emergency support services -Hardware/Software support and upgrade services The NAICS Code for the expected acquisition is 561210. Any subsequent procurement will be conducted as a commercial item purchase in accordance with FAR Part 12 and as a Simplified Acquisition Procedure in accordance with FAR Part 13.
