This notice is for informational purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This procurement will be processed pursuant to FAR part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. No solicitation will be issued. All responsible sources who believe they can provide the services listed may submit, in writing to the identified point of contact, a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. Responses are to be received within 2 days of this notice. No telephone calls are being accepted. The USDA, ARS, Meat Animal Research Center, located at 844 Road 313, Clay Center, NE 68933, has a need for a 6 Li-Cor Long Term Chambers and Extension Cables and intents to award a firm fixed price contract to Li-Cor Biosciences, 4647 Superior Street, Lincoln, NE 65804. The unique requirements are: Must be delivered by 09/01/2021 Quantity: 6 Chambers, 4 Cables Portable, automated opaque chambers that allows survey and long-term measurements over a study site. Compatible with LI-COR 8 Port Multiplexer and LI-COR soil gas flux system for analysis of CH4 and CO2. Weather-resistant Motorized chamber that rotates away from soil collar, allowing surface to see natural environment when measurements not taken. Able to be left unattended for extended period of times (12+ hrs). Low power draw (7.5 W maximum when opening or closing). Finished in durable and reflective white enamel to prevent excessive solar heat. Include 4 (four) extensions that allow placement of the chamber up to 15 meters from the multiplexer. These requirements can be met through the following LI-COR, Inc items: Six each Part#: 8100-104; Long Term Chamber Four each Part#: 8150-705; Chamber Extension Cable The NAICS Code for the expected acquisition is 334516, with a Size Standard of 1,000 employees. Any subsequent procurement will be conducted as a commercial item purchase in accordance with both 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 13.106-1 (b)(1)(i)

This notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or an obligation or commitment by the Government, nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFQ) at this time. Responses to this Notice must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to conduct market research to determine, in particular, the capability of Small Business firms to provide the supplies/services described below. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary experience to compete for this acquisition.
