The Kisatchie National Forest has a requirement to install security gates at the Evangeline and Vernon Work Centers on the Calcasieu Ranger District as further detailed in the Solicitation/ Request for Quotes. The solicitation will result one firm fixed priced purchase order based on lowest priced, technically acceptable offer. The USDA Forest Service encourages the participation of small, disadvantaged, service disabled veteran, and women owned business enterprises. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238290 and the small business size standard is $16.5 million. The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. All responsible, qualified small businesses may submit an offer, which will be considered by the Forest Service. All Offerors shall be registered at the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov) to be eligible for award. The solicitation for this project will be available only through the www.beta.sam.gov Contracting Opportunities web site. All questions pertaining to this solicitation must be submitted in writing to jay.g.tobin@usda.gov. The anticipated date for issuance of the described solicitation is May 28, 2020. THE SOLICITATION HAS BEEN POSTED There is a pre-bid site visit scheduled for Wednesday, June 3, 2020; the Evangeline Work Center will be at 9:00AM and the Vernon Work Center at 11:30AM.
