This project is for the application of crack seal treatment of the NFSR 333 and 333A asphalt roadway. Chip seal of the National Forest System Road (NFSR) 333 and 333A asphalt roadway, and La Luz Trailhead asphalt parking lot. NFSR 333, 333A, and the La Luz Trailhead parking lot make up a system of paved features on the Sandia Ranger District of the Cibola National Forest and National Grasslands spanning approximately 2.38 miles. The roadway is made up of 3”-6” of existing asphalt which includes a 2” overlay with a varying width averaging approximately 24’. The La Luz Trailhead Parking lot has an area of approximately 19,500 square feet. NFSR 333 and 333A are two-lane two-way traffic roadways that provides the public access to and from high value recreation sites and residential subdivisions and is open to traffic year-round 24 hours a day. Work shall be conducted on the asphalt pavement road of NFSR 333 and 333A, starting from the Forest Service boundary (Cattleguard), near the intersection of NM-556 Tramway Rd. and NFSR 333, through the transition to NFSR 333A, and the La Luz trailhead parking area. A map shall be provided with this document specifying the project area.
