Description: THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). Proposals shall only be requested and accepted from contractors who are a Small Business AND certified in System for Award Management (SAM, https://sam.gov). The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), United States Forest Service (USFS), has a requirement for but not limited to the following: 127EAW23R0042 - San Marcos Well Drilling This contract is for the locating, drilling, and development of one new water well to support the continuous operation of San Marcos Fire Station. Currently, the existing well for the station has gone dry and the forest is hauling water to support the mission of the station. Contract work is also to include the construction of water well enclosure, to ensure the well is protected from environmental factors. The contractor is also to connect the new water well to the existing distribution system. Once completed, the contractor will need to disinfect the entire system and collect the necessary water samples to submit to the County of Santa Barbara. Project Location: Los Padres National Forest in Santa Barbara County, California. San Marcos Fire Station is located along California State Route 154, mile marker 24.447 Solicitation Number 127EAW23R0042 for this effort will be posted to SAM.gov (https://sam.gov) on or about June 21st, 2023. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary submit a proposal for this project. There is currently no official group site visit scheduled. The solicitation will include site visit information if one is deemed necessary.
