Description: THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). Proposals shall only be requested and accepted from contractors who are a Small Business and certified in System for Award Management (SAM, https://sam.gov). The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), United States Forest Service (USFS), has a requirement for, but not limited to, the following: 127EAW23R0029 - GAOA Chantry Recreation Area Improvements The contract provides the equipment, labor, materials, services and permits necessary to perform work ordered by the Government. The work will include demolition or removal and replacement of asphaltic concrete and reinforced concrete pathways, potable water plumbing features, signage, guardrails, and recreation site amenities to meet current Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) requirements. The work will also include accessibility improvements to recreation sites and parking area improvements in the parking lot as well as refurbishment of the existing water system wellhead near the well and tanks. Work will also include minor repairs to information boards, rock and rock veneer with masonry rock veneer walls and other site amenities. Project location: From the ANF headquarters at 701 N Santa Anita Ave in Arcadia, turn right on N Santa Anita Ave for 203 ft, make a U turn at E Newman Ave travel north on Santa Anita Avenue for approximately 2 miles to locked gate at end of avenue (Santa Anita Avenue becomes Santa Anita Canyon Road at gate). Continue past gate along Santa Anita Canyon Road for approximately 3.5 miles to Chantry Flat (end of the road) at the parking area with the recreation sign that reads “Chantry Flat Recreation Area”. Solicitation Number 127EAW23R0029 for this effort will be posted to Contract Opportunities via SAM (https://sam.gov) on or about June 21st, 2023. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings, and other information necessary to submit a proposal for this project. The solicitation will include all site visit related information.
