Description: THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). Proposals shall only be requested and accepted from contractors who are a Small Business AND certified in System for Award Management (SAM, https://sam.gov/content/home). The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), United States Forest Service (USFS), has a requirement for but not limited to the following: Loop 6 Bridge Replacement Project: This project is to replace the damaged 61 foot 2-inch-long trail bridge #1 on the Loop 6 motorcycle trail (413 sq. ft. deck). This project is to furnish and construct the new trail bridge and includes the removal of the existing damaged bridge structure. Access to site is by helicopter, motorcycle or on foot. There is no vehicular access, 4WD of otherwise, within 1.5 miles of the site. Please see attached access map. Contractor is responsible for furnishing aerial lift capable of transporting required loads, as well as all labor, equipment, supervision, materials, permits and required testing necessary to complete the project as shown in the specifications and drawings. Project Location The project is located in Placer County, CA at Site # 1 of the El Dorado Creek crossing, on the Loop 6 motorcycle trail of the Tahoe National Forest 7.4 miles Northeast of Foresthill, CA. The primary helicopter staging area for this project is the Forest Service Seed Orchard (Lat. 39.0875, Lon. -120.7338 - 1.8 air miles from bridge site) Solicitation Number 127EAW22R0037 for this effort will be posted to Beta.Sam.Gov (https://beta.sam.gov/) on or about April 21st, 2022. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary submit a proposal for this project. There is currently no official group site visit scheduled. The solicitation will include site visit information if one is deemed necessary. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimated cost of the total project is expected to be between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00.
