This is a pre-solicitation notice being released pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5. The USDA, Forest Service (FS), Southwest Zone, has an anticipated requirement to furnish and Provide all labor, equipment, and material to accomplish the work under this project for the replacement of an existing vault restroom facility, striping of the parking area, construction of a new ADA path, and repair of a section of the existing ADA trail at the Columns of the Giants Day Use Area in the Summit Ranger District. The work shall include cleanup and disposal of all removed building material from Forest Service lands. This project is located within the Summit Ranger District of the Stanislaus National Forest in Tuolumne County, California. Columns of the Giants is located on Highway 108, approximately 50 miles Northeast of Sonora, CA. A map of the project sites is in the Drawings. This procurement will be solicited using North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 237990— Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a small business size standard of $39.5M. In accordance with FAR 36.204 the estimated magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. A Request for Quotes (RFQ) for this acquisition will be released on or about May 16, 2022 and will close on or about June 16, 2022. It is anticipated that the contract will begin on or about July 5, 2022. This acquisition will be competed as a Hub zone Small Business Set Aside. This Pre-solicitation Notice seeks to provide information to interested parties about potential opportunity to perform the construction, additions, alterations, or maintenance and repairs as described above. This Pre-solicitation Notice does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. Respondents are advised that the United States (U.S) Government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this Pre-solicitation Notice. All costs associated with responding to this Pre-solicitation Notice will be solely at the responding party's expense. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the U.S Government to form a binding contract.
