Work consists of fabricating and installing 2 single pipe gates. The contractor is responsible for providing and placing all signage in accordance with MUTCD. The entire gate assembly shall be painted in accordance with FP-14, sections 563.08-Table 563-1 type 3 using a sprayer. Paint shall be applied prior to sign installation. 1. The color shall be Forest Service Brown, 20059: Gate shall be fabricated by a certified welder using Schedule 40 ASTM A36 steel pipe. 2. Concrete shall be cast in place without the use of forms. Rodding in lieu of vibration is acceptable to consolidate concrete. Use a high strength quick setting concrete mix. Set all posts plumb and ensure smooth gate operation. Place concrete against undisturbed earth. Compact any over excavation in 6" lifts.
