Description: THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). Proposals shall only be requested and accepted from contractors who are a Small Business AND certified in System for Award Management (SAM, https://sam.gov/content/home). The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), United States Forest Service (USFS), has a requirement for but not limited to the following: Parker Creek Road Maintenance Project: This project consists resurfacing a 7-mile section of Forest Road 42N31 (located off Forest Route 42N05 (5 Road), 13 miles east of Alturas, CA) with ¾” surface course aggregate (grading U) to 6” compaction depth (compaction method B). Surfacing shall begin at intersection with County Road 56 and continue for ¼ mile past the Parker Creek Middle Fork Bridge. Road currently has some surface material present. Final aggregate depth shall be minimum 6”, an additional 4” is expected to be needed for first 3.5 miles and an additional 2” for the remaining 3.5 miles. Clearing and grubbing 7-mile section of Forest Road 42N31 to specifications (disposal methods (i) and (g)). Clearing and grubbing shall begin at intersection with County Road 56 and continue for 7 miles. Material should be disposed of by chipping/mastication and dispersion outside the prism of the road. Light brushing is needed transitioning into medium brushing. Deliver aggregate (grading U) in quantity specified in awarded contract to stockpile approximately 1.2 miles from intersection with County Road 56. Solicitation Number 127EAW21R0054 for this effort will be posted to Beta.Sam.Gov (https://beta.sam.gov/) on or about July 16th, 2021. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary submit a proposal for this project. There is currently no official group site visit scheduled. The solicitation will include site visit information if one is deemed necessary.
