SYNOPSIS This is a synopsis of the proposed action only. Solicitation documents are anticipated to be posted on or about 28 Jun 21. Requirement: Reroof structure by removing all roofing shingles and underlayment down to the substrate material. Remove gutters as necessary and reset after roof work is completed. Remove and replace all existing 2x10 fascia boards, ~ 16 linear feet. Repair roof substrate decking material where required to complete necessary work. Replace all roof underlayment, shingles, rake and eave flashing, vent, sleeves, and collars, fascia boards, and add an approved moisture protection material and all incidentals. The existing barracks building was constructed in 1936 and recent lead-based paint sampling and testing was completed, and the fascia boards were shown to have lead-based paint. Asbestos sampling and testing were recently completed, and roof and roof components were shown to have no asbestos. Location: From San Diego travel east on Interstate 8 to Kitchen Creek Road. Turn left on Kitchen Creek Road and travel north ~ .25 mile. The Cameron Fire Station is on the left. The site address is 3110 Kitchen Creek Road, Pine Valley, CA 91962. FAR 36.204 Disclosure of Magnitude (base and all options (if any)): between $25,000 and $100,000 Contract Time: It is estimated the project will start in Aug 2021 and be completed within 19 calendar days. Set Asides: This procurement is being solicited as a total small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238160 - Roofing Contractors. The related small business size standard is $16.5 million. Solicitation Info: Solicitation is being conducted under FAR Part 13. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered. Site Visit: No organized site visit is scheduled. Prospective contractors are free to visit the site on their own during business hours (0930-1800). If for some reason the gate is closed contractors may walk-in the short distance. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. Bonds: A bid guarantee is NOT required to be submitted with quote. If quote is between $35,000 and $100,000, payment protection for 100% of the award price will be required to be submitted within 10 days after contract award. .
