SYNOPSIS This is a synopsis of the proposed action only. Solicitation documents are anticipated to be posted on or about 21 Jun 21. Requirement: The intent of this requirement is to furnish all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to install a 3-zone ductless minisplit heating and air system in the Soda Creek Office and remove and replace the HVAC system in the Stonyford Engine Office on the Mendocino National Forest. Major items of work include but are not limited to: Removing and disposing of old equipment, wiring, installing ducting, installing supply diffusers, installing equipment pad, installing new exhaust vent, installing thermostats. Location: Soda Creek Station: 39°25’29.82”N, 122°58’40.50”W; Stonyford Work Center: 39°22’43.19”N, 122°32’58.08”W FAR 36.204 Disclosure of Magnitude (base and all options (if any)): (b) between $25,000 and $100,000 Contract Time: The anticipated period of performance will be a 30-day period between July and September 2021. Set Asides: This procurement is being solicited as a total small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238220 - Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors. The related small business size standard is $16.5 million. Solicitation Info: Solicitation is being conducted under FAR Part 13. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered. Site Visit: No organized site visit is scheduled. Prospective contractors can visit the sites on their own. Due to it being fire season it is recommended that prior to visiting the site, prospective contractors contact Amy Suschnick at amy.suschnick@usda.gov to ensure someone is available at the site to allow entrance into the buildings. The sites are normally available between 0930 and 1700 each day of the week. Bonds: A bid guarantee is NOT required to be submitted with quote. If quote is between $35,000 and $100,000, payment protection for 100% of the award price will be required and be submitted within 10 days after contract award. Request for Information: Any prospective quoter desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, drawings, specifications, etc., must request it in writing soon enough to allow a reply to reach all prospective bidders before submission of their quotes but not later than 5 calendar days prior to solicitation due date. Oral explanations or instructions given before the award of a contract will not be binding. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. Notifications: In accordance with FAR 5.102(d), the government is limiting the availability of the solicitation to electronic medium through this posting to SAM.gov. Notification of any postponements and any amendments to this solicitation will be posted on this website.
