SYNOPSIS This is a synopis of the proposed action only. Solicitation documents are anticipated to be posted on or about 14 Jun 21. Requirement: Make repairs to volcanic stone masonry that adorns the furnishings to include rock walls, park benches, and stairwells of the recreation day use sites of the McCloud River Loop as well as finishing a kiosk at the Upper Falls day use site and bench at the Middle Falls day use site located on the Shasta Trinity National Forest. Replacement rock will be provided by the government but must be collected and transported to the work area by the contractor. The collection of the rock will be from the Julia Glover Flat area approximately 55 minutes away (30 miles). Location: From the town of McCloud, drive east on State Highway 89 ~5.5 miles to the McCloud River Area. Turn right (south) at Fowler Public Camp Rd. Drive ~.75 mile, at the fork, go right to stay on Fowler Public Camp Rd. Drive ~.5 miles to the Lower Falls Parking area. From the town of McCloud, drive east on State Highway 89 ~5.5 miles to the McCloud River Area. Turn right (south) at Fowler Camp Rd. Drive ~.75 mile to the 1st cross street. Turn left at FS 40N44X and continue ~1 mile to the Middle Falls Parking area. FAR 36.204 Disclosure of Magnitude (base and all options (if any)): (b) between $25,000 and $100,000 Contract Time: It is estimated the project will start on or about 1 Sep 21 and be completed by September/October 2022. It is desired that all work will be completed in the Fall of 2021 however winter weather may not allow Set Asides: This procurement is being solicited as a small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238140. The related small business size standard is $16.5 million. Solicitation Info: Solicitation is being conducted under FAR Part 13. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered. Site Visit/Pre-Quote Conference: An organized site visit has been scheduled for Tuesday 29 Jun 21. Time and meeting location to be determined and will be available in the solicitation when posted. Bonds: A bid guarantee is not required to be submitted with quote. If quote is between $35,000 and $150,000, payment protection will be required after award for 100% of the award price and be submitted within 10 days after contract award. Inquiries: Any prospective quoter desiring additional information about the solicitation, drawings, specifications, etc., must request it in writing, not later than 4 business days before the closing date, to allow a reply to reach all prospective quoters before submission of their quotes. Requests for information received after that time may not receive a response. Oral explanations or instructions given before the award of a contract will not be binding. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.
