SOLICITATION NOTICE Solicitation and associated attachments have been posted SYNOPSIS Requirement: The purpose of this project is to replace the existing U.S. Forest Service waterline from the Stoney Swim Area to the Stoney Point Campground waterline point of connection, within the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Most of the work is immediately adjacent to State Hwy 3 in the Stuart Fork Arm area of Trinity Lake National Recreation Area in Trinity County, CA. The new line will be 2.5” PVC for a total length approximately 1985 lineal feet. The work will involve trenching along the road shoulder in Caltrans R/W and across Hwy 3. Traffic control systems will be required, including lane closures in accordance with the Caltrans Encroachment Permit (Encroachment Permit No. 0221 NUS 0094). Location: From Redding, CA, take Hwy 299 west for 44 miles to Weaverville. Take Hwy 3 from Weaverville to the west side of Trinity Lake. Stoney Point Campground/Stoney Swim Area is located approximately 14 miles north of Weaverville, CA and the work is located along the shoulder of southbound Hwy 3 near the Stoney Point Campground and Stoney Swim Area parking lot. FAR 36.204 Disclosure of Magnitude (base and all options (if any)): (c) between $100,000 and $250,000 Contract Time: It is estimated the project will start on or about 21 June 2021 and be completed within 60 days. Set Asides: This procurement is being solicited as a small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 221310. The related small business size standard is $30.0 million. Solicitation Info: Solicitation is being conducted under FAR Part 13. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered. Site Visit: An organized site visit will not be held. The site is accessible for prospective contractors to visit at any time. Bonds: A bid guarantee IS required. In addition, there is a requirement for performance and payment protections after award. If quote is over $150,000.00 payment protection will be required for 100% of the award price and be submitted within 10 days after contract award. Inquiries: Any prospective quoter desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, drawings, specifications, etc., must request it in writing soon enough to allow a reply to reach all prospective bidders before submission of their quotes but not later than 4 business days prior to solicitation due date. Requests for information received after this time may not receive a response. Oral explanations or instructions given before the award of a contract will not be binding. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.
