This will not include emergency veterinary services (non-routine) that would be impossible to bid on. Non-routine veterinary services will have to be handled on a case-by-case basis and paid for by the forest outside of this contract. Requested veterinary services for Gila NF horse and mule herd will include but not limited to the service item list below. Services will be provided at designated district locations or at Veterinary clinic locations. The Gila NF currently has 48 head of stock and a target number of 55 head. All stock will not be in one location and veterinary services will not be provided at one time. Approximately ¾ of Gila Herd is managed at the Wilderness Ranger District and ¼ of herd is managed at the Glenwood Ranger District.
