A sanitary survey is an on-site inspection of a drinking water and/or wastewater system designed to find deficiencies, weaknesses, or potential sources of contamination within a drinking water system. The items found during a sanitary survey will be identified action items and prioritized for the forest to correct. The basis for system compliance is the Safe Drinking Water Act, State or Primacy Agency regulations, and FSM 7420.
