The USDA Forest Service (FS) Southwestern Region (R3) and Pacific Southwest Region (R5) has a requirement to secure a qualified vendor who can provide emergency equipment installation services (up-fitting) on Fire Command pickup trucks, SUV’s and Utility bodied vehicles acquired through lease or purchase by the USDA Forest Service. All labor, parts and products installed, must meet manufacturer’s specifications, this includes all non-OEM aftermarket items which are necessary for a fully operational Fire Command vehicle. Vehicles getting upfitted must be picked up and delivered to the locations listed for that zone. Vehicles shall be transported and not driven unless prior authorization has been given.
