Toi... C.1 Scope of Work Description of Work: The intent of this contract is to perform vault pumping services at developed recreation sites. Service is to include pumping waste from the bathroom vaults. Toilet facilities are located at Amador Ranger District recreation sites including campgrounds, trailhead parking and picnic areas during the summer season. All toilet facilities are wooden frame or concrete fabricated pit toilets. There is no piped water available at these recreation sites. The contents of the bathroom vaults will be completely emptied. Contractor Responsibility: The Contractor shall provide everything – including, but not limited to, all equipment, supplies, transportation, labor, supervision, and incidentals – necessary to perform the work, except for that which the contract clearly states is to be furnished by the Government. The contractor will be responsible for all costs, licensing, permitting, and other requirements for legal disposal of pumped material. All travel expenses required to perform the work are the responsibility of the contractor. C.2 Project Location & Description This project encompasses the Amador Ranger District recreation sites, including campgrounds, trailhead parking and picnic areas during the summer season. The toilets to be serviced are located at various recreation areas as indicated on the Schedule of Items. Typically, 2-wheel drive vehicles can access all sites. Some roads are narrow and/or winding and access may be difficult or impossible with very large trucks. C.3 Estimated Contract Time Period of Performance: July 25, 2022 – December 31, 2022 C.4 Restrictions on Work Waste removal shall not be done prior to 8:00 a.m. or after 6:00 p.m. or on weekends or federal holidays. The Forest Service is not requesting the contractor to monitor the sites for potential/needed pumping services. The contract will operate on a “call-when-needed” basis. The authorized ordering official (see list with contract award) will call the Contractor and request pumping for specific Contract Items (recreation sites). The Contractor shall complete the services within 48 hours after the order is made and report to the ordering official when finished. Calls for service will typically be for toilets that are at or near capacity.
