Description of Requirement: The American River Ranger District on the Tahoe National Forest is looking for a contract for the supply, haul, and delivery of approximately 200 tons of large boulders. Boulders need to have an approximate weight of 2 tons each and need to have an average diameter of 3-4ft. We are requesting the largest possible boulders that can be hauled effectively. The Forest Service will supply the awarded contractor with a heavy haul permit for Circle Bridge (FS 96 Rd.) weight limitations. The goal of the project is to restrict off-highway travel at the FS (Forest Service) winter closure gate near the junction of the FS-96 Rd (Mosquito Ridge Rd.) and the FS 96-17 Rd (Interbay/Middle fork Powerhouse Rd.). Off route travel has and is anticipated to increase in frequency at closure gate due to the Mosquito Fire suppression and fuels reduction effects in the area. Delivery Date and Delivery Location: Delivery to be made to pull-out location on south side of FS 96 Rd., west of FS 96-17 Rd.
