This solicitation is to service wash rack separator systems at various locations on the Plumas National Forest, so they function properly. Work includes: • Removing liquid and collected sediment/sludge from separator tanks, wash grates, and pipes from wash grate to tank. • Testing and analysis of liquids and sediment at each location to determine if hazardous waste contamination is present prior to disposal. Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedures (Method 1311 TCLP) shall be used. Provide name of testing firm, tests performed, and written report with details of presence of absence of hazardous materials as required. • Properly dispose of the liquids and material based on testing and analysis. If hazardous material is present, a hazardous material disposal plan shall be submitted for approval prior to disposal. • Adherence to National Pollution Discharge Elimination System Best Management Practices and State Water Quality permitting (California and Nevada) for on-site operations, and waste removal, depending on disposal location.
