This is the solicitation for repair of water tender 7062. The Stanislaus National Forest possesses a 1500-gallon Water Tender vehicle manufactured by Boise Mobile Equipment on top of a Freightliner chassis. The water tender tank leaks due to a crack in the front passenger side of the water tank near the contact point between the tank and the front saddle. The crack has propagated from the crack source at the front passenger side of the tank and has extended throughout part of the bottom of the tank. Work shall include stopping crack propagation and eliminating factors contributing to future development of stress concentration. Vehicle should be repaired to fully operational status and be able to perform intended duties that support Forest Service goals. Work should be conducted in a timely manner and communication on progress and issues should be done thoroughly and often. See attachments for additional information.
