This is a combined / solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The size requirement for this NAICS code is 500 employees. The government intends to award a single award Firm Fixed Price Contract. As per the general specifications in attachments and the following additional requirements: This requirement is for the delivery shade house kits that will cover 4 separate areas similar to the GrowSpan Commercial Shade House. The dimensions for each of these areas are listed below in items “a” and “b”. The proposal may include a separate bid to erect the shade houses on site. The dimensions of the area to be covered by each shade structures are as follows; a. Width dimensions are a minimum of 29' 0" and a maximum of 30' 8" on the open end and entire length of the structure b. Length dimensions for the sides are a minimum of 47' 0" and a maximum of 52' 0". c. The minimum height to include the opening on at least one open end is 9' 6" to allow for forklift access along the entire length of the structure. d. Shade cloth provided as part of the proposal will be 40% and fitted to the shade house frame size. The shade cloth must be either removable or able to roll up and store on the shade house frame as this will be used in an area that does receive snow. e. The shade houses structure must have the ability to be permanently anchored. f. Support section shall be every 6' feet at a minimum. g. Support piping shall be galvanized 12 gauge pipe at a minimum h. It is acceptable for multiple prefabricated structures to be used to cover one "shade house" area (i.e. if a 20' x 50' is used and then a 10' x 30' and a 10' x 20' is erected next to it to cover the entire area needed that would be an acceptable option. i. Insurance Coverage (NOV 1996) Pursuant to FAR clause 52.228-5, Insurance-Work on a Government Installation, the Contractor will be required to present evidence to show, as a minimum, the amounts of insurance coverage indicated below: (a) Workers Compensation and Employer's Liability. The Contractor is required to comply with applicable Federal and State workers' compensation and occupational disease statutes. If occupational diseases are not compensable under those statutes, they shall be covered under the employer's liability section of the insurance policy, except when contract operations are so commingled with a Contractor's commercial operations that it would not be practical to require this coverage. Employer's liability coverage of at least $100,000 shall be required, except in States with exclusive or monopolistic funds that do not permit worker's compensation to be written by private carriers. (b) General Liability. The Contractor shall have bodily injury liability insurance coverage written on a comprehensive form of policy of at least $500,000 per occurrence. (c) Automobile Liability. The Contractor shall have automobile liability insurance written on a comprehensive form of policy. The policy shall provide for bodily injury and property damage liability covering the operation of all automobiles used in connection with performing the contract. Policies covering automobiles operated in the United States shall provide coverage of at least $200,000 per person and $500,000 per occurrence for bodily injury and $20,000 per occurrence for property damage or loss. (d) Aircraft Public and Passenger Liability. When aircraft are used in connection with performing the contract, the Contractor shall have aircraft public and passenger liability insurance.
