Amendment 01 The purpose of this amendment is to add Black Rock Station and Batterson WC asbestos reports (see attached). The Government does not believe that there is any asbestos in any of the other buildings. Based on the age of the buildings the following will contain lead based paint: Jerseydale station FS2626, Big Creek FS2616, Black Rock FS2308, Black Rock FS2323, High Sierra Station FS2316, and Wishon WC FS1321. Any abatement outside of the fore mentioned buildings the Government will address at that time with a contract modification. This project consists of the demolition of 23 structures in the Forest wide Building Demolition Project located within the Sierra National Forest at both Bass Lake and High Sierra Ranger Districts. The work consists of conducting hazmat surveys for lead base paint and asbestos as necessary of the 23 structures PRIOR to demolition; removal and abatement of all hazmat if found prior to structure demolition, and demolition and cleanup of 23 structures identified in this contract. Award will be made using Simplified Acquisition procedures. Award will be made to the respondent whose quote represents the best value to the Government. Factors to be considered in determining best value include price, experience, responses to evaluation factors, and past performance.
