The National Forests and Grasslands in Texas, LBJ Grasslands, has a requirement to construct a a permanent corral system and trap pasture fence in Wise County, Texas, approximately eight miles north of Decatur and five miles east of Alvord, TX. This solicitation will result in a single contract award on the basis of technical qualifications/capability, past performance, and price as best meets the needs of the Government. The USDA Forest Service encourages the participation of small, disadvantaged, service disabled veteran, and woman owned business enterprises. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238990 and the small business size standard is $16.5 million. The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. All responsible, qualified small businesses may submit an offer which will be considered by the Forest Service. All Offerors shall be registered at the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov) prior to submitting a proposal. The statement of magnitude for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Payment bond or alternate payment protection is required. All questions pertaining to this solicitation shall be submitted in writing to jay.g.tobin@usda.gov. Responses will not be provided to telephone messages. The anticipated date for issuance of the solicitation is on or about March 9, 2020. Offers will be submitted electronically to jay.g.tobin@usda.gov. The Government is planning a pre-bid/pre-proposal site visit, which is scheduled for 10:00am on March 19, 2020. THE SOLICITATION PACKAGE HAS BEEN POSTED. The pre-bid conference will begin at the TADRA Point Trailhead. From Hwy 380 in Decateur travel north on FM Rd 730 for 10.1 miles to Co Rd 2461, then 3.6 miles to trailhead. THE RESPONSE DATE HAS BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL APRIL 28, 2020. IT WILL MOST LIKELY BE EXTENDED AGAIN. A SECOND PRE-BID SITE VISIT WILL BE SCHEDULED SO AS TO ALLOW AT LEAST TWO WEEKS TO PREPARE FOR PROPOSAL SUBMISSION. A second pre-bid site visit has been scheduled for Thursday, 4/30/2020 at 10AM meeting at the TADRA entrance noted above. Responses are now due by 2PM on Thursday, 5/14/2020.
