The National Forests and Grasslands in Texas, Sam Houston National Forest, has a requirement to replace the Big Creek Bridge at milepost 3.5 on NFSR 217 in San Jacinto County, Texas. This solicitation will result in a single contract award on the basis of technical capability, past performance, and price as best meets the needs of the Government. The USDA Forest Service encourages the participation of small, disadvantaged, service disabled veteran, and woman owned business enterprises. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237310 and the small business size standard is $36.5 million. The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. All responsible, qualified small businesses may submit an offer which will be considered by the Forest Service. All Offerors shall be registered at the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov) prior to submitting a proposal. The statement of magnitude for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Payment and performance bonds are required. The solicitation for this project will be available only through this Federal Business Opportunities website www.fbo.gov. Written copies will not be provided. All questions pertaining to this solicitation shall be submitted in writing to Jay Tobin at jay.g.tobin@usda.gov. Responses will not be provided to telephone messages. The anticipated date for issuance of the solicitation is on or about August 12, 2019. The actual due date for proposals will be identified on the solicitation. Offers are to be submitted electronically to jay.g.tobin@usda.gov. The Government is planning a pre-bid/pre-proposal site visit, which is scheduled for 10:00 AM on August 19, 2019, at the work site. From Shepherd, TX proceed five miles northwest on State Highway 150 to NFSR 217, turn left and proceed southwest to the Big Creek Bridge. THE SOLICITATION PACKAGE HAS BEEN POSTED.
