The Ouachita National Forest is planning to rent a snooper truck with operator in order to perform bridge inspections on the Ouachita and Ozark National Forests during the month of October of 2020. The bridges are on low-volume, mostly gravel, roads and are relatively small. The work is anticipated to take 4 days. The proposed snooper truck shall provide the Forest Service inspector the ability to examine all members under the bridge deck at arms reach. Bridge widths vary between 13 feet and 16 feet. Bridge spans mostly vary between 24 feet and 133 feet, while the Gunner Pool Bridge spans 223 feet. The proposed equipment must be in satisfactory operating condition and meet all aplicable safety requirements. The contractor shall furnish all fuel, oil, grease, repairs and pay any other expenses incidental to operation of the equipment. The contractor is responsible for providing lodging, meals, and transporation for the operator. The work shall be scheduled during the month of October 2020, plus or minus one month. The bidder shall provide proposed equipment make/model# and relavant specs (ie. gross vehicle weight and reach) along with their technical proposal.
