01/16/2020 - See attached Questions and Answers. Proposals still due 01/09/2020. ________________ The requirement will support the black-footed ferret recovery efforts in South Dakota. The two primary locations where the services will be conducted are in the 3.63 Management Areas (Black-Footed Ferret Reintroduction habitat) on the Wall Ranger District and Badlands National Park. Future treatments may occur under this contract on the Fall River Ranger District 3.63 Management Areas if warranted by the conditions on the ground (ie. Ferrets are found to be present there). Additional acres may possibly be required on the Wind Cave National Park (additional interagency coordination is needed prior to any plague mitigation treatments on Wind Cave National Park through this contract). This contract is to conduct plague mitigation services on identified locations. The primary method of plague mitigation in use is the application of dust insecticides to prairie dog colonies. Dusting machines are used to apply the dust insecticide to the colonies. A secondary method that will be covered under this contract is the application of a grain bait to prairie dog colonies which is consumed by the prairie dogs and contains an insecticide (fipronil). TheIDIQ contract will run from 2020 - 2025 (Base year plus 4 Option years). See attached RFP -- note Instructions to Offerors and Evaluation Criteria on pages 27-31 Task orders to start on February 1, 2020 will be awarded concurrently with the IDIQ contract.
