Under this project, the Contractor shall be required to load, haul and place an aggregate surface course on 3.77 miles of existing Forest System Road to include turnouts and curve widening segments. The roadway surface course shall be placed to a 4” compacted depth, with a 12’ surface width from STA. 0+00 to 161+70 and a 3% crowned finish. The roadway surface course shall be placed to a 4” compacted depth, with a 14’ surface width from STA. 161+70 to 199+00 and a 3% crowned finish. All turnouts and curve widening segments shall be resurfaced to a 4” compacted depth and to a 4’ surface width. The aggregate material for this project shall be government furnished and obtained from Custer Peak quarry. OPTION A. Nissen Road (NFSR 202) Resurfacing. The roadway surface course shall be placed to a 4” compacted depth, with a 12’ surface width from STA. 0+00 to 105+60 and a 3% crowned finish. All turnouts and curve widening segments shall be resurfaced to a 4” compacted depth and to a 4’ surface width. The aggregate material for this project shall be government furnished and obtained from Custer Peak quarry. See Attached specifications for details.

Black Hills National Forest, Mystic and Norther Hills Ranger Districts, Bogus Jim Road (NFSR 201) Resurfacing The USDA Forest Service intends to issue a Request for Proposal for a Firm Fixed Price contract for the resurfacing of a portion of National Forest Service Road (NFSR 201), Bogus Jim Road, on the Mystic and Norther Hills Ranger Districts of the Black Hills National Forest in South Dakota. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Interested vendors should register and follow this contract opportunity to receive notifications through the website. The anticipated period of performance for this contract will be 60 days upon award. The intent is to begin work on or about July 1, 2020. NAICS: 237310, Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction with a Small Business size standard of $39.5 Million. This project will be solicited as a 100% set aside for Small Business.
