The Nebraska National Forests and Grasslands are seeking requet for proposals for the following: Summary: Work for this project consists of removal and replacement of the existing EPDM roof system on the Bessey Nursery Packing Shed/Cooler/Freezer building (Cooler/Freezer roof only).This project is located on the Bessey Nursery Complex two (2) miles west of Halsey, Nebraska. The Bessey Nursery Complex lies within the Sandhills region of central Nebraska. The elevation of the site is approximately 2,700 feet above mean sea level and may experience snowfall and cold temperatures from November through April. Seasonal rain showers and storms occur from April through the summer months.The Packing Shed/Cooler/Freezer building is within the Bessey Nursery Complex, an active tree and shrub nursery. The Cooler/Freezer building was constructed in 1984 and consists of metal Bally refrigeration wall and roof panels and a ballasted EPDM roof system over underlaying “GacoFlex” Elastomeric roofing material placed over the Bally roof system. The Nebraska National Forests and Grasslands intends to issue a Request For Quotes (RFQ) to award a single, firm-fixed price contract to remove and replace the cooler/freezer EPDM roof at the Bessey Nursery . Project is located in Thomas County,NE in central Nebraska. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 238160 with a size standard of $16.5llion. Project is total Small Business Set-Aside. Magnitude of project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Contract time is 45 calendars days. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, and incidentals and perform all required work in accordance to the terms, conditions, specifications, and provisions of the contract. All responsible sources will be considered for award the agency. Contractors must be registered in the System for award Management (SAM.gov) to be eligible for award.
