This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and no other written solicitation will be issued. Solicitation 12653819Q0023 is issued as a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-73. This is a small business set aside under NAICS code 325320. The small business size standard is 1,000 employees. Only small business can participate in this solicitation. Verification of business size will be completed via the vendor's SAM registration. The USDA, ARS, U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC) requires 21,000 insecticide ear tags for cattle. Interested parties are to provide firm fixed prices for the below listed contract line item: 1. Patriot Insecticide Cattle Ear Tag product or equal Offerors proposing to furnish an "equal" product, in accordance with the "Brand Name or Equal" provision of this solicitation, shall provide the following information for each offered "equal" product: • Contract Line Item Number (if any) • Brand Name or Equal Product identified by the Government in this solicitation • Offered Product Name • Catalog Description or part number • Manufacturer's Name • Manufacturer's Address Offerors are responsible for submitting all additional information on the above product necessary for the Contracting Officer to determine whether the product offered meets the "brand name or equal" product's salient characteristics listed in the solicitation. The following documents are attached for review: Standard Form 18 - Request for Quote 12653819Q0023 with applicable terms & conditions Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Provision 52.212.2 Applies. The government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
